This is probably some of the worst takes on Gen-X ever. We have always been skeptical of the news. It has never been easy to buy a house, my first was a 7.5% interest rate. Yeah, I don't want to know all about your personal life and that is true for everyone, not just a single generation. Pensions were pretty much gone by the time Gen-X hit the workforce and 401k did really exist until the early 90s. Jump hopping is bad, so yeah stay for 2-5 years. Big brands were cheaper not better. If living with Mom and Dad, maybe you don't need a backup plan, the rest of us do. TV is a waste. Talk politics at the table, yeah how has the last 8 years gone with that. Nobody carries much cash anymore, that is not generational thing.
